Pocket Filter - Model PF - The Katadyn Pocket Filter has a built-in pump to develop the pressure needed for rapid filtration. With little effort you can produce 3/4 quart per minute of safe drinking water. The PF is 10" long by 2" in diameter and weights only 21 ounces. With proper care the PF will last many years. To clean, simply open and brush off the raw water side of the filter element. The ceramic element is usable for up to 13,000 gallons before replacing. The PF is the idea choice for all situations including: camping, missionaries, disasters, emergencies, and survival environments. COMBI Filter - Katadyn technology has created a new dual filter water filtration system. The Katadyn's proven 0.2 micron ceramic filter has been combined with an activated carbon filter creating a system that eliminates not only bacteria and microorganisms including Giardia and Cryptosporidium but also malodorous and noxious chemicals, chlorine and iodine. The COMBI Filter is a must piece of equipment for the world traveler and the serious backpacker. If the taste, odor or chemical contamination of the water is not a factor, the life of the carbon can be extended by removing the carbon cartridge from the upper chamber of the filter, prior to water treatment. it can easily be removed and replaced whenever necessary. With a capacity of over 13,000 gallons for the ceramic and 60 gallons of carbon filtration, it is truly remarkable. Size is 2.4" x 10.4", weight 22 ounces, warranty is one year. Mini Filter - Model MF-Ceramic - The Katadyn Mini Filter uses the same ceramic filtration system as the Pocket Filter, but is designed for shorter usages, on cleaner water sources. It will produce about 1/2 quart of clean water per minute. The MF is 1.75" x 2.75" x 7" long and weighs 8 ounces, warranty is one year. The MF is usable for 2,000 gallons before replacing the ceramic element. Drip Filter - Model TRK - Works on gravity pressure from upper compartment; no hookup required. Raw water is filled on top with up to 2-1/2 gallons of untreated water and slowly drips through the two (or three) ceramic elements into the bottom container. Service life is 13,000 gallons per element used (total of 39,000 gallons for the unit with three elements installed). Warranty is one year. Excellent for recreation sites, base camps, boats, RV's, etc. Very popular with missionaries and others living in countries with no plumbing, and low or undependable water pressure. Gravidyn Drip Filter - Identical to the TRK (ceramic) drip filter, except uses the new Gravidyn combination ceramic and carbon filter elements. Works on gravity pressure from upper compartment; no hookup required. Raw water is filled on top with up to 2-1/2 gallons of untreated water and slowly drips through the three elements into the bottom container. Flow rate of approximately 0.5 gallons per hour. Syphon Filter - Works on gravity pressure, no pumping required. Ideal for camps, cabins, foreign living, and emergencies. Features same technology as other Katadyn filters, therefore removing all bacteria and parasites through 0.2 micron ceramic element. Filter element(s) to be placed in bucket of raw water with exit tube(s) hanging downward into a bottle or container to collect filtered water. Flow rate of approximately 1.3 gallons per hour. Ortlieb-Syphon Filter - This is Katadyn's newest product. It is a combination durable water bag and syphon filter. You hang it up (as an example, on a tree limb), fill it with water, put a water container below it, put the filter's hose into the water container, and let it produce filtered water using gravity to supply the work. The actual filter element is the same as the one used in the syphon filter (above), so it is good for 5,300 gallons before being replaced. The bag is made by Ortlieb and holds 10 liters of water. Expedition Filter - KFT Features the same incredible technology as the Pocket Filter, but with a flow rate of up to 1 gallon per minute, for larger groups. Portable, self-contained, with built-in piston hand pump. Chromium plated brass housing with a stand that's a footrest for easy operation. The 78 inch long (2 meters) intake hose is rugged, yet flexible enough to easily drop into a nearby creek or pond. Service life of ceramic element is 26,000 gallons. The KFT is handy for travel when packed in its own canvas carrying bag. Used the world over by expeditions, river rafters, armed forces and disaster relief organizations.
